Julia Hartman
Fiddle, Baritone Fiddle

Julia has played up to 90 events annually for non-profits, private parties, and special events including Dance Flurry 2019. She’s a regular performer at several English Country Dance & Contra Dance series in the New York City metro area, the Northeast US and North Carolina plus tours throughout the United States and Canada. Julia studied classical violin performance with a former Assistant Concertmaster of the Boston Symphony. She holds a Music BA and from Columbia Business School, an MBA . (NYC, NC, FL)

Pete Turner
Guitar, Irish Bouzouki, Voice

Pete hails from the United Kingdom, and is an accomplished guitarist. He also plays Irish bouzouki (a.k.a. octave mandolin) with Hoggetowne Fancy, the house band for English country dance in Gainesville, Florida. Pete has played for English dances almost every Monday night since 2012, and has performed at the Florida Folk Festival and at coffeehouses. In an earlier incarnation, he was a member of the Blue Druids, a trio focusing on Irish and Scottish tunes. Pete has a soft spot for playing and singing classic jazz and swing tunes and songs.

Bob Reynierson
Guitar, Baroque Guitar, Lute, Theorbo, Vocals

Bob holds a degree in music from the University of Cincinnati where he studied guitar at the UC College Conservatory of Music. He is a former Artist Teacher in Residence at the Blair School of Music in Nashville TN and co-founder of The Center for Old Music in Lexington KY. He has studied lute with Paul O’Dette, Nigel North, and others at Lute Society of America seminars. While studying at UC Bob performed with the early music consort Musica Nova and played for contra dances with Malcolm Dalglish and Grey Larsen, both of whom performed with him at his senior recital at UC. Bob has played at English Country Dance venues in Cincinnati, Lexington, Nashville, and Gainesville FL. He has presented and participated in numerous performances of 15th-18th century music including Measure for Pleasure. The program featured a troupe of Renaissance dancers accompanied by period instruments and was presented in Lexington and Nashville. After moving to Gainesville FL Bob continued to be involved in English Country Dance and has been a member and sometimes director of Hoggetowne Fancy since the group’s inception.
